Uses: fever, common cold, hay fever, menstruation issues, diarrhea, loss of appetite, GI discomfort, toothache, hemorrhoids, cramps, bloating, gas, high blood pressure
Safety Concerns: None currently known. Major interactions with medications that slow blood clotting. Large amounts of yarrow can slow blood clotting increasing changes of bruising or bleeding when combined with anticoagulants and antiplatelets. Lithium interacts with yarrow as well as yarrow can act as a diuretic and may alter the amount of lithium that gets absorbed. Combining with barbiturates may increase the sleepiness effects.
